How To Run Your Network Marketing Business Profitably Online

Welcome back to this part of the series on internet marketing, sub-series; network marketing, under our 40 different ways to make money online series.

In the last article on making money online from network marketing, I gave general guiding tips on choosing a good network marketing program to be part of. In this article, I want to use two specific examples to show you how you can join and market your own networking business online. My good friend Dr Bola Fadipe is a network marketer with many years of experience marketing with MLM companies/programs as Forever Living Products, SFI (Strong Future International Marketing Group), Organogold, Fohow, Massivesave, helpinghands international (H2i) and others. It was he who brought his vast knowledge and experience to bear on this article.

From my research and from talking to network marketers around me, running your network marketing business online overlaps to a great extent with affiliate marketing. In other words, you are given a couple of products to market, and you get commission on each sales, while also getting benefits through the compensation plan for every new downline you add under you as you move up the hierarchy.

On a general note apart from the tips I shared in the other article, if you are yet to be convinced as to any positive reason for joining the network marketing industry aside to make money directly, please join MLMs for these two major reasons:

1. To learn how to sell anything to anyone (including ice to Eskimos, fish to fishermen and books to publishers.lol), and
2. To learn how to run a business by building up, inspiring and leading people.

When you can successfully do these two (which any good MLM program should teach you), you can start out on your own in any business you choose. Let me share this quote from Kiyosaki's Network Marketing book; 'The business of the 21st century':

"In network marketing, the whole point is not to sell a product but to build a network, an army of people who are all representing that same product or service to share with others. The goal is not for you or any other individual to sell a lot of product- it’s for a lot of people to be their own best customer, sell and service a reasonable number of customers, and recruit and show a lot of other people how to do the same thing. And here’s the reason you want to build that army of independent representatives: Once you do, you know what you’ll have? An asset that generates income for you—passive income."

I now will talk about making money online with SFI (Strong Future International Marketing Group) and Massivesave, as guidelines to help you choose and start with any MLM of your choice. SFI

The Strong Future International Marketing group is more of an online affiliate marketing program incorporating multilevel marketing ideas into its business. The company was started by Gery Carson in 1998 and has grown to have more than 90,000 products being marketed in over 90 countries.

In 2009, it incorporated Tripleclicks, which allows its members to simply and easily sell their own unwanted items for cash or trade. SFI affiliates also earn handsome commissions promoting products and services available at TripleClicks.

It involves a unilateral matrix that is 12 levels deep. And you can earn up to 45% commission on sales. After you sign up, you are given a custom built webpage with your affiliate link to promote company's products and services. You need to earn 1500 'Versapoints' monthly to qualify.

Massivesave

With Massivesave, you join with $50 and thereafter, you are given ebooks and other products on health and wellness to promote.
The value of this package is said to be worth over US$3000. On the comp plan, you get instant payment for each person who joins under you in a forced 3x3 matrix.



While not ruling out the fact that you can make money from these two programs above, I recommend the following tips below for running your MLM online biz.

The tips for running your online MLM business successfully

1. The #1 key is to build YOUR own business- leads, systems and courses, training materials, and so on. And the first step to doing that is to have your own theme-based site- either blog or full site. While most online MLM or affiliate marketing companies will give you a custom-made site, it is preferable to build yours and establish yourself as an expert. The key is to create a system around your personality (personality branding).
2. There are numerous products being sold by network marketers, so choose the one in your MLM program that you are most passionate about and build a theme-based site around that product, e.g. if you are a Forever Living Products MLMarketer, you have the options of skin care and beauty products, herbal products, weight loss and a host of other products. You can decide to choose the weight loss products and build a blog on weight loss tips, ideas, testimonials and then of course market your products there.
3. Register your domain name and find a good hosting company. The name should be centered around your theme. For example you can register www.lose-weight-have-a-perfect-shape.com (following the theme in the example above). 
4. Develop a plan and set goals for your online biz, knowing well that your overall aim is to develop a following that you will eventually market to.
5. Never forget that MLM is a relationship business, so never compromise on values simply because your clients are online. Treat them as you would physical people in your neighborhood- respect and value them.
6. Follow other leading Network marketers such as Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter, Michael Dlouhy, Mike Dillard, Chuck Holmes, Eric Worre,  Jackie Ulmer, Souravghosh, Art Jonak, Burke Hedges and many others.
