I Didn't Want To Get Married Until I Became A Forex Millionaire, But Now....

Phew! Siji the genius...
So I finally arrive here, but without the millions.
Lol

I am a very proud and intelligent person, and always wanted to prove a point. But now, I have come to realise all that is pointless!

I have always been ambitious- and that is a very good trait. From very early in life I set out to achieve a lot in and with my life. The struggle has always been between what I want to do/achieve, and what God wants for me -and the intersection between them. I have always had a lot of ideas but not the time or money (excuses!!!) to actualise them.

I had no cash, but a rich dad -unfortunately, he was only willing then to support my medical education.

The Coolidge Effect Can Make You Become Poor and Depressed, Even If You Have Never Heard Of It

www.sijinius.com

There is an old joke about Calvin Coolidge when he was President of USA.… The President and Mrs. Coolidge were being shown (separately) around an experimental government farm. When [Mrs. Coolidge] came to the chicken yard she noticed that a rooster was mating very frequently. She asked the attendant how often that happened and was told, "Dozens of times each day."

Mrs. Coolidge said, "Tell that to the President when he comes by."

Upon being told, the President asked, "Same hen every time?" The reply was, "Oh, no, Mr. President, a different hen every time."

President: "Tell that to Mrs. Coolidge."

The Coolidge effect (named after the former first family, from this joke) is a phenomenon seen in mammalian species whereby males (and to a lesser extent females) exhibit renewed sexual interest if introduced to new receptive sexual partners, even after cessation of sex with prior but still available sexual partners. The evolutionary benefit to this phenomenon is that a male can fertilize multiple females.

Are You Broke And Single? Get Married! -Why Marriage Is More Likely To Make You Richer, Than Poorer

www.sijinius.blogspot.com

Two, they say, is better than one. And research has actually shown that married men make more money than their unmarried counterparts. University of Michigan's Martha Hill was the first to discover (or is it, document) that fact, in 1979.

What is Marriage Premium?
Marriage premium, or male marriage premium, refers to the proven fact that married men earn more than unmarried men, and that difference is called the marriage premium. And some studies have reported a wage difference as high as 44%.

The Only Reason Why Money Is The #1 Cause Of Divorces Worldwide

www.sijinius.com

I was discussing with someone not too long ago about relationships and why couples break up due to money issues (-in case you missed my earlier post on money being the #1 proven cause of divorce, please read it).

Do you know that there is really only one reason couples do not (want to) come back together after a fight...? And it is simple- Couples Who Have Not Created Enough Memorable Experiences Together, Do Not Find Reasons To Stay Together When The Going Gets Tough (or to come back together, if they separate for any reason)!

Surrendering Control Of Your Finances (To Him/Her) In Order To Have Control

www.sijinius.com

When you first read this title, what came to your mind? Whatever comes to mind about what today’s post is about...you are probably right. Let me delve in.

This article will look at how you can have control by surrendering control of your finances to someone else. It is paradoxical, yes I know. Moreover, you alone know who that person will be but I will discuss three important personalities that can help you be a better manager of your finances if you are the impulsive spender/giver.

Achieving Financial Goals Should Be Fun But Can Cause (Financial) Divorce

sijinius.blogspot.com
source: strategicmodularity.com

Today, I want to shed some light on setting and achieving (financial) goals.

While sites like Tilt, Kickstarter and Gofundme are doing great, I have since discovered that everyone on earth has a financial project they are working at achieving at every point in time in life, and they could use a little help. That is what Credicoins is about. But I have concentrated (our model) on the developing world/economies because of the extent of poverty here.

Another site that is similar to our model of goal setting is Stickk created by Yale Economics Professor Dean Karlan.  He tells the story of how the site was founded after he and Ian Ayres, his friend and co-founder made a financial commitment to give up half of their salaries ($1000 weekly) to any charity of the other's choice if they do not achieve their set goal. He did shed off 38 pounds (about 17kg) weekly. Interesting isn't it?

Expensive Sex and Fetish: The World of Financial Domination

sijinius.blogspot.com
A fetish is a defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as 'A strong and unusual desire or need for something.' It is also defined as 'An object of irrational reverence and obsessive devotion.'

Though fetishes are usually attributed to sex, not all fetishes are sexual in nature.

Sexual fetishes involve a person deriving sexual pleasure from things/behaviors that are not considered normal.

Common sexual fetishes include Sado-Masochism (S&M) or Bondage (BDSM) -which involves deriving sexual pleasure from inflicting or receiving pain on a partner, Domination and Submission, Voyeurism and exhibitionism, Groupie, Threesome, etc.

But I discovered a funny (not actually funny, in the real sense of it), money-based fetish this past weekend called Financial Domination, or Findom, for short.

When you see that definition above, then you won't be surprised that some men (called 'pay pigs', 'money slaves', 'cash cows', and 'human ATMs') derive sexual pleasure from giving out their financial control to a woman (called 'Dominatrix or Domme'), in the world of financial domination.

In Findom, a man finds (mostly online) a Domme who will dominate him, and then he begins to send her money and other expensive gifts. He can pay her rent, subsidize her lifestyle, among other things in order to fulfill his fetish. These gifts are called 'Tributes.' But there is no sexual contact/relationship between them- it is purely for domination and submission.

And don't think these men are failures. Not at all, because they include CEOs, rich entrepreneurs, successful everyday people, and so on.

Let me give you some real life examples from some of the articles I sourced this blog post from.

True Love is Both Selfish and Jealous...But Unfortunately Not Frugal

sijinius.com

Love and money are two delicate and intimate issues in today’s world. And you can't be financially successful if you don't know your heart, and carry out a regular audit of its desires. What do I mean?

On day 5 of our Personal Finance in 31 days series, I wrote that if you want to know how much influence you have over someone, ask them for their money. If they give it to you, then you have significant influence over them.

Why?

That is simply because 'Where your money is, that is where your heart will be' (you will of course, find that in the Bible).

But the reverse also is true; 'Where your heart is, that is also where your money will go'.

Ask religious leaders, and they will quickly confirm this to you. So where is Sijinius driving at with this post? Stay with me.

How Money Almost Ended My Relationship of 5 Years

sijinius.com
I have been in a relationship since December 2009, and if I tell you it has been easy, I lie. If you have been following this blog, I have probably given you the impression that I have never really lacked money in my life- my parents were bankers, I tradeForex, I won N1 million on national TV, I am a medical doctor, I can sing and I play musical instruments, etc.

You are mistaken- I have always been broke!
Mostly because I try to pursue too many ideas at the same time, I spend and give out a lot of my cash, I put pressure on my trading accounts among other reasons.
