Today I will share with you some tips on donating to charity without spending money, or spending so little.
It can be through giving your time, efforts, or your clicks on a website, but it is sure gratifying to know that you can give without spending cash.
Ø
Install the Firefox plugin Browse for a cause which running in the background will donate a
percentage of your purchases to charity. Browse
for a Cause takes that money and donates it entirely to a charity of your
choice. You can also use Tabs for
a cause on Chrome. [Note that there
is a virus app called “Browse for the cause”, beware of it!]
Ø
Donate your blood every six months to Red Cross
or your local hospital for accident victims or sickle cell patients or any other patient that needs blood. You get to be given a Blood Donors member card.
It can be through giving your time, efforts, or your clicks on a website, but it is sure gratifying to know that you can give without spending cash.
Ø
Give your time/volunteer your services for a
favorite charity instead of donating money.

Ø
Donate some of what you produce in your company
to charity. Instead of donating profits, you could give to charity some of the shoes you produce, or some of the eggs from your farm, etc.
Ø
Your company or personal waste might be raw
material for some industry or charity organization. See this 3D printed image made from saw dust and binder (glue like material) by Fastco design company

Ø
Check to see if your company will double your
donation. Some corporations match their employees’ charity donations.
Ø
Donate whatever clothes or material possessions
you don’t use anymore to charity. That way, you kill two birds with one stone-
give to charity without spending money, and you declutter your wardrobe/home
and life.
Ø
Play the vocabulary game at Free Rice and donate
10 grains of rice to the World Food Program for each correct answer. It’s free
to you, as it’s funded by sponsors who advertise on the site. This is a screenshot of the grains of rice I donated today to feed a child on the site. lol.
Ø
Donate to worthy organizations like the National
Breast Cancer Foundation through TheBreast Cancer Site. All you have to do is visit and click a button; you can
do this every day to help provide free mammograms to women in need. Click on
the tabs at the top to visit similar sites to help end hunger, child health,
aid literacy, animal rescue, and the rain forest.
Ø
Using a similar model as above, you can click once per
day for additional causes through Care 2,
which uses advertiser money to fund organizations like Children International. It has more than 26 million members and is the largest online community for good.

Ø
On a jocular side, participate in the Ice Bucket Water Challenge. Lol. Recently the world was awash with the viral charity ALS ice
bucket challenge which raised money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association
of UK. After you are nominated by someone else, you either pour ice water on
your head, or give $100 to the charity or do both. Many Celebrities like Facebook's Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Bill Gates, CNN's Richard Quest, and many others participated with many of them also donating cash. President Obama opted to donate $100 instead of having the cold water bath.lol
