HOW TO CONCENTRATE ON VALUE OUTSIDE OF CASH- MY LIFE EXPERIMENT SINCE 2017

www.sijinius.com

For the past 7 years, since August 2017, I completely changed my mindset to (having) cash. I have sought to live cashless in an urban area. I must confess that this was as a direct result of Rev 13 and my Endtime prophetic calling.

My personal finance blogging and my intention to build a Fintech company/be financially successful in the eyes of the world went in the opposite direction.

While I have not fully gotten a grasp on the methods in which I have employed to achieve this mental paradigm change, I am slowly getting there. Of course, almost everyone in my life thinks that I am crazy and it has not been easy on my mental health, necessitating the writing of my upcoming book* on helping people with depression, anxiety and loneliness. We must continue to help people, no matter what!
[Note: All my entrepreneurial endeavors always stem from personal problems or pain points or passion, that I hope can be of help to one other person who might just have the same problem as me.]

4 Real Reasons Why Billionaires Give To Charity

www.sijinius.blogspot.com
The Zuckerbergs
Last week, Mark Zuckerberg wrote a letter to his newborn daughter -Max. In it, he and his wife Priscilla Chan stated that they will be giving away 99% of his Facebook shares (presently worth about $45 billion) to charitable causes. Though some news media reported it as 'Mark Zuckerberg Vows to Give 99% of His Facebook Shares for Charity'. (Some comedians have since named their daughter 'Charity' and asked Zuckerberg to send their share of the money. lol).

Of course, what he meant is that he believes in using wealth to better humanity, and making the world a better place for all, by investing in causes that will fulfill that dream and desire.

Key Questions for Every New Donor | Good Ventures

Found this post while researching on how to eradicate global poverty and the organisations helping out. It is from the blog of Good Ventures -an international charity organisation founded by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, and Cari Tuna. You can check out their vision and values too.

They work closely with GiveDirectly -an organisation that gives out (no-strings-attached) $1000 to poor households in Africa, and are similar to GiveWell, another organisation that believes global poverty can be reduced by giving cash directly to the poor as a form of aid.

Still On Tithes And First FRUITS: 2 Chrn 31:10

On 14th of October, I wrote a two-part series on Biblical giving. The first article which was on Tithes generated a lot of traffic, and as you can see on my homepage, it is one of my most popular posts.

Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite bible verses (I haven't completed the series yet), and guess what?

It is on tithes. Yes, you heard me right.

2 Chronicles 31: 1-10, especially vs 10. Let me show you from the KJV:

How To Give To Charity Without Spending Cash

Today I will share with you some tips on donating to charity without spending money, or spending so little.

It can be through giving your time, efforts, or your clicks on a website, but it is sure gratifying to know that you can give without spending cash.

Ø  Give your time/volunteer your services for a favorite charity instead of donating money.

Ø  Donate some of what you produce in your company to charity. Instead of donating profits, you could give to charity some of the shoes you produce, or some of the eggs from your farm, etc.

In 2006, the largest donation in recent times occurred when the richest investor in the world, Warren Buffet pledged to give 85% of his $44 billion wealth to charity –the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  When he and Bill Gates founded The Giving pledge in 2009, he upped that percentage to 99% which is almost all of his present $66 billion worth. KJV Verses That ALSO Talk About Money (But You Won’t Know) & Verses That Are FORCED To Talk About Money (I)

sijinius.blogspot.com

In this series, I will show and expound on KJV bible verses that talk about money or refer indirectly to finances which you won’t know unless you either read it in context, or get another translation/version of the bible.

I will also talk about some verses that have been either been forced to talk only about money (-when you read such verse, you only think MONEY), or misquoted/twisted to talk about money in a way their contextual usage did not imply at all.

Biblical Giving- What the bible instructs us to do with our money

Yesterday, I exposed the greatest money lie told believers today in churches- you MUST tithe or else God is angry at you/your finances! This is the second part.

The instruction is not ‘Don’t give’ or, ‘Don’t tell people to give.’ The instruction is simple: “DON’T ASK/COMPEL/CAJOLE/INTIMIDATE/SWINDLE/COAX BELIEVERS TO TITHE!” That is unbiblical.

People sometimes confuse the two. What we say is that it is unscriptural for ANY church or Man of God to force people to pay tithes. If I as a believer want to give 10% of my income to God weekly, then that is my decision. It is not to be enforced on me by anybody, and then labeled ‘tithes’ backed up with Malachi 3.

DAY 20: Give, But By A Budget!

I give too much, and that has been a grave source of concern for me. It is good to give, but sometimes we can give unintelligently. You know, I told Frank on the hotseat of Who wants to be a millionaire that I was going to give out half of my winnings, and I did. In fact, I felt good about that, but I have since discovered that most of my giving is unintelligent. What do I mean?

I give a lot mainly because I've always wanted to be like/emulate billionaire philanthropists who give out millions of dollars regularly. But you know what I discovered, those philanthropists can give so much, and regularly too because they have mastered wealth principles.
